Hailing from Gulfport, Mississippi, Emily Gabardi is a good ol’ southern belle and the newest member of Green Apple Strategy’s team! Throughout her life, Emily has always found joy in serving others. Her passions have always lain in being around people and helping people communicate with each other, which is what led her to her career in marketing.
Emily attended Ole Miss and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing Communications and Public Relations. While still in college, Emily interned for Calvin Klein’s PR department, and upon graduation moved up to New York to work as a sales assistant in their showroom. After working for Calvin Klein for a few months, Emily transitioned into a position at Alison Brod PR. There Emily worked as a Fashion Account Coordinator for brands like Old Navy and Piperlime, while also helping out with Skyy Vodka, L’Oréal, and Mercedes Benz fashion week. After living in New York for almost 2 years, Emily decided to move back to Jackson, Mississippi to be closer to her family. While in Jackson, she worked at Ramey Agency, a marketing communications and advertising agency, servicing accounts like Bank of the Ozarks and Mississippi Tourism.
After living in Jackson for two years, Emily decided to move up to Nashville. She wanted to be in a bigger city and be in a market where she could learn new things, meet new people, and grow as a person. Emily enjoys being put in challenging situations that encourage self-growth, and her move to Nashville was definitely one such situation. Following her move to Nashville, Emily reached out to the Big Brothers Big Sisters as a way to get involved with her new community. Through the grapevine, Emily was introduced to Samantha (Green Apple’s owner and chief strategist), the two hit it off, and Emily joined our team on June 1, 2016!
Emily has three passions in life: serving others (which we’ve already covered), traveling, and food. Her passion for serving others has led her to a love of traveling, since she gets to meet new people, experience different cultures, and just become a more well-rounded person. Alongside her love for traveling comes her love of food — especially the sweet stuff. After all, the two do go hand in hand. Emily loves trying new restaurants, and while she may not be the best in the kitchen (her words, not ours), she does make one mean PB & J — sometimes, that’s all you need!
