chanel-lakePutting her communication and people skills at the forefront, Chanel Lake serves as an Assistant Client Relations Specialist at Green Apple Strategy. Her passion for developing and maintaining relationships is a strength Chanel uses on a daily basis with Green Apple clients. As an Enneagram One, Chanel is always thinking of ways to improve systems and be of service to everyone. She’s also a self-proclaimed perfectionist. Chanel works closely with the entire team and serves our clients by supporting the efforts of Senior Client Relations Specialists.

Chanel is from McCalla, Alabama, and came to Nashville to attend Tennessee State University on a performance-based scholarship for Speech and Debate. While completing her Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications, Chanel also served the community by joining the Nation Association of Colored Women’s Club. The club’s mission is to uplift women, children, and families in the area through service. Following graduation, she jumped into the world of high fashion.

“I worked full time as a client advisor at Louis Vuitton Nashville for over five years. It’s where I learned client development, strategic ways to reach different audiences, and found new ways to build relationships with people near and far.”

Chanel also got a true taste of Music City by working in the licensing department at Broadcast Music Incorporated. She left the job during the pandemic to join the Nashville Mayor’s Office in October 2020 and was quickly promoted to the Mayor’s scheduler. She corresponded with senior staff, elected officials, and organizations in Nashville on a daily basis to maintain the Mayor’s day-to-day schedule.

After years of sales, business, and government experience, Chanel was ready to put her diverse set of skills and degree to use. A few of her colleagues mentioned Green Apple and it didn’t take long for Chanel to take the next step. She explains, “When I looked at the Green Apple website, I saw the words grow and cultivate. I was looking for a place where I could do just that and work with clients directly. As soon as I connected with Sam, I knew I wanted to be a part of the Green Apple team.”

When she’s not interacting with clients or assisting the team, Chanel loves to take walks around Centennial Park with her fiance and their dog, Oscar. She also operates her own balloon decorating business, a skill she picked up during the pandemic. Chanel travels back home to Alabama to see her family as often as possible.
